Sizing may vary slightly between manufacturer
Here’s a helpful guide for sizing differences between the main brands.
- Warrior – These tend to be a tighter fit. If you’re just over the size range you may need to get the larger size.
- Brine – The loosest gloves in our range. More popular with the taller/larger players.
- STX – Quite snug and tight.
- Maverik – These will feel more like a fitted glove but the more modern gloves designs are slightly looser.
Warrior glove sizing notes
When purchasing Warrior lacrosse gloves, please note that the gloves will and should feel tight when you first put them on. One important factor of gloves is their ability to maintain finger dexterity when wearing them. Warrior gloves work to achieve this by designing a tight glove not only around the hand but also the fingers.
Over time, all lacrosse gloves will loosen up and become softer. The dexterity of the glove will reduce slightly due to this. It’s just the way it is. To ensure the impact of this softening and loosening is reduced it’s is recommended that the gloves feel tight when you first wear them.
The tightness should only be felt around the sides of your fingers. There should be no tightness on the tip of your finger nor around the sides of your hand forcing your thumb to curl in unnaturally. Your fingers should not be pushing up hard against the end of the finger slots.
To test this, put the gloves on, pick up your stick and do a few cradles with it. Your fingers should find their natural position within the glove and your hand should feel pressure but be able to grip the shaft. If you still feel the tips of your fingers pushing up hard against the end of the finger slots, or have difficulty gripping the shaft you may need a larger size.
