Description
The new Evo Krypto Pro shaft from Warrior is the new 2023 release of the same reliable shaft in their Kyrpto-Pro range. Designed in the USA and is now manufactured in North America.
Material
The 7000 series alloy has been around for a long time now and it’s no surprise. It’s tough. We’re seeing a lot of innovation with new materials being incorporated into shafts these days. But that the 7000 series is still in production, it’s a nod to its value for money and performance.
The material is the same as what’s featured in the Krypto-Lyte, but the Krypto-Pro has a much thicker sidewall.
Shaft Cross Section
The shaft cross-section features concave sections along 6 of the 8 sidewalls. Only the top and bottom sidewalls are straight. This is reported to add a bit more strength to the shaft.
In terms of feel, the concave sidewalls certainly give you a lot more when holding the stick.
Exterior Coating
The shaft is anodised with a “diamond grip”. Essentially this means the shaft has an ever-so-slight rough feel to it. Almost to the point where you may not need tape. It’s certainly not a gritty feel which would chew your gloves but it’s enough to give you a good amount of grip. It’s very different to a matte finish which can be a bit slippery.
Accessories
The shaft comes with a head screw and an end play. It does not come with a traditional butt end, so if you need one, head over to our shaft accessories to add one to your cart.
