Take your game to the next level with our very own Lacrosse Gear nylon hard mesh stringing kit.
Included in the kit is a 10 diamond mesh, one top string, two sidewall laces, one bottom lace, 3 shooter strings, one screw and one ball stop.
Our mesh has all the typical features you’d expect. Features such as a smooth side (rear) and a rough side (pocket), 10 diamond top and a 9 diamond bottom for ease of stringing and solid sidewall reinforcement.
Our mesh is also nylon. Nylon is by far the best option for lacrosse meshes and the are two reasons for this.
The first is that nylon has the ability to absorb the energy of the ball when catching and cradling.
The second point is that nylon then springs back to its original shape, very much like a rubber band. This gives you better control and feel as the mesh moves with you without being compromised.
This gives you a more natural feel of the ball during the game.
Alternatives such as polypropylene, polyethylene or polyester are commonly found in tennis rackets, which is last thing you want as a mesh in your head.
The mesh kit contains:
- 1 – nylon soft mesh
- 1 – top string
- 2 – sidewall strings
- 1 – bottom string
- 3 – shooter strings
- 1 – foam ball stop
- 1 – shaft screw
Is this 10 diamond?
– Yes it is. But be aware the half rows are 9 diamond. The half row goes at the top and the full row at the bottom.
Is this waxed?
– There is a protective coating that goes over the mesh to help you prepare the pocket. But Australian conditions are fairly mild compared to the rest of the world meaning wax isn’t essential.
How do I string my stick?
– Stringing is based on your lacrosse head and not the mesh. Consult your manufacturer for instructions.
